Exacting helm control possible with integrated systems
{{{sourceTextContent.subTitle}}}
From wheel to rudder, Twin Disc delivers to helmsmen a whole new level of precision control. The company offers complete, comprehensive power-assisted hydraulic and electronic steering systems for a wide range of boat lengths and customer preferences
{{{sourceTextContent.description}}}
A boat’s steering system needs to be precise and reactive, especially during heavy weather when an extra margin of control is needed. Twin Disc utilizes fewer moving parts for a more balanced, responsive helm for displacement and planing mono- and multi-hulls.
The company’s wide range of components accommodates a broad spectrum of possible configurations. Each implementation is designed for the individual boat on which it’s being installed. Power packs and engine-driven hydraulic pumps are available for the electronic and the hydraulic steering systems. The modularity of the arrangement allows for easy adaptation to any specific requirement.
Hydraulic configurations are well-matched to small- and medium-sized recreational and commercial boats. For large vessels, extremely flexible and efficient electronic systems are highly suited.
Built to Twin Disc’s well-known level of craftsmanship, these integrated, state-of-the-art systems are certified RINA, CE and NMMA. Each is backed by the company’s extensive network of over 250 distributor sales and service locations in 83 countries.
Twin Disc manufactures a complete line of marine propulsion systems. The company offers transmissions—including its state-of-the-art Quickshift® models—control drives, PTOs, pump drives, thrusters, helm controls and the Express Joystick System®.
